Adobe InDesign Videos

This video gave a wonderful overview of all the things that can be done by using InDesign. It got me thinking!

This video went through the simple ways to set up a new document and showed where things were located. It also mentioned adding some photos and text.

This video was very helpful with information on very basic topics such as adding pictures and words and sizing them. It showed where to find the pictures, how to add them, and short cuts to do so.

By going to file and clicking on place, you can hold down the shift key to select the text you are looking for and adding it to the new document.

This video showed various ways to select and edit the text. You can change the way it looks, add text, remove text. By using the story editor mode, you can easily move and remove the text.

Under the Type tab, you can click on hidden characters in order to figure out where spaces are coming from in the text. Changes little things will help when it comes to formatting your text. Any text added will automatically change the format to match the rest of the document. There is also an option to paste without formatting.

The video on Character Style shows how to easily change text within a body of text. It allows the person to customize their own character styles that can be applied within any part of the text.

Paragraph Styles is very similar to the charter style options. You can create your own paragraph styles that can be applied to any of the text throughout the document.

Adding pages to the document is very simple. You can change the height, width, and borders of the the new document. There are multiple ways to go about creating more pages.
